Seven Years On, the Boa Island Film We Still Love

Still from an early Phantom lifestyle film at Waters Edge, Boa Island, showing a lakeside home on Lower Lough Erne

Hard to believe it has been more than seven years since we made this lifestyle video for Waters Edge on Boa Island. It was one of our very first films, and it is still one of my favourites. Not because yours truly makes a brief appearance (well, maybe a little), but because it captured the location and the lifestyle so completely.

Looking back at early work is a useful thing for any studio to do. The kit has moved on, the edit is faster, the camera moves are steadier and the colour is more considered. What has not changed is the idea at the heart of it: a home like this is sold by the life around it, the water, the light, the quiet, not by a list of rooms. That belief was there in the very first films, and it still shapes every shoot we plan today.

There is a lovely postscript, too. One of the homes here, No. 9, is now on the market with Simon Brien Residential, and it remains an absolutely stunning setting. A beautiful location and, we think, a timeless little film. That is the quiet promise of good lifestyle property video: it keeps working long after the shoot, the way this one has.

This is the kind of work we love most, and we make it for agents and developers across Northern Ireland. Seven years on, we are still chasing that same feeling.
