Yes. In Northern Ireland a valid Energy Performance Certificate is legally required before you market a property for sale or let. The certificate must be produced by an accredited energy assessor and lodged on the official EPC register.
How long is an EPC valid for?
An EPC is valid for ten years from the date it is lodged on the register. Within that window it can be reused if the same property is remarketed.
How long does it take to get an EPC?
An EPC needs an on-site assessment, so it is not instant or done remotely. Once our assessor has visited the property we produce and lodge the certificate, and we will prioritise it if you have a launch deadline. Tell us at booking and we will work to your timeline.
