Downhill Lodge: Filming a Home Beside Mussenden Temple

Some homes do not need much help. They just need to be filmed properly. Downhill Lodge is one of them, and we were thrilled when Alex Pelan and Megan Houston at Savills Ireland trusted Phantom to deliver the full imagery for it.

The setting alone is extraordinary. The Lodge sits immediately beside the National Trust grounds that take in Bishop’s Gate Lodge, Downhill Demesne and Mussenden Temple, with views reaching out to the Giant’s Causeway and across to the Scottish isles of Jura and Islay. An epic property needs an epic introduction, so we built one. Drone work to place the south-facing house in its acre of immaculate lawned gardens, bounded by its basalt stone wall, then a cinematic walk through accommodation that is as suited to family life as it is to entertaining.

This is the kind of North Coast home our aerial photography and property video tours are built for, where the location is half the story and the light off the Atlantic does the rest. It is also a good example of how we work right across Northern Ireland, travelling for the properties that deserve it.

If you have a standout listing on the Causeway Coast, we would love to film it.
